French Clone Mily By GeGe
In 1964 French little girls played with a Barbie clone called Mily made by the Gege company. She had a boyfriend called Jacky which she later married in 1966 and had a little sister called Baby. This doll kept a diary of her outings and events. Her outfits were very well made and reflected the culture of the times. Magazines and designers were copying her style to say the least. She started out to be a straight leg doll with a fluffy Clairol hairdo( always blonde or platinum), but by 1968 became bent leg and sported a swirl ponytail, as well as , the modest clothes around. Her end was in 1973. She is very rare and not found anymore in the French attics.
